Martha W. Barnett is one of the first female graduates of the University of Florida Law School (’73) and is a retired senior partner in the law firm of Holland & Knight. Her primary areas of practice were administrative, governmental law and public policy. She was the second woman to head the American Bar Association and the first to chair its House of Delegates, a 400,000-member organization, with more than a $100 million budget and a professional staff of just under 1,000. Barnett is interested in women’s contributions to the social and economic well-being of Florida, the country and the world and the commonality of issues that impact them at home and abroad.
