Turn Off The Lights!

Earth Hour, Saturday, March 23, 8:30-9:30PM

Join the Office of Sustainability and the Gator Nation in observing Earth Hour this Saturday night by turning off the lights!  Some icons around campus will go dark for one hour between 8:30-9:30PM while others will stay unlit the entire weekend.  For the fifth year in a row, UF joins Alachua County and the City of Gainesville in this effort to save energy while bringing greater awareness to everyone’s ability to chomp down on energy just by turning off the lights.  As staff and faculty, do your part by remembering to turn off nonessential lighting before you leave for the weekend.  As a student, have your house or dorm participate too.  For more information about Earth Hour nationally visit https://www.myearthhour.org/
