APA Tours the CJC’s Division of Multimedia Properties

Special thanks to everyone who joined the College of Journalism and Communications Division of Multimedia Properties tour on January 25.  One of the most interesting tours yet, APA members got a “behind the scenes” look at what it takes to run and operate a state-of-the-art multimedia property, including: 

• “AHA! The Innovation CoLab,” designed to facilitate creative collision among students
• Studios for WUFT-FM, WJUF-FM, WRUF-FM, WRUF-AM
• Integrated News Facility, the convergent, multi-platform newsroom for CJC news, weather and sports operations
• UAA’s GatorVision, including an in-depth look at the control room for Gator Game broadcasting
• Facilities for WUFT-TV and WRUF-TV, including control rooms and studios 1 and 2
