What brought you to UF?
As a Florida native, I was ready to come back home after living in the Midwest for my formative years. I had worked for a state flagship institution prior and understood the value of a ranked and AAU-member university. When I was looking at UF job postings in early 2016, I was impressed by the preeminence initiative and sheer growth occurring on campus and in Gainesville. I was excited to be a part of that momentum.

What makes you proud to work at UF?
It takes many dedicated, talented and smart people to make an institution of this size great. The impact that UF has is immense and, on a daily basis, I see the impact UF Health has through the patient care and health professional training provided here.

Favorite UF tradition or moment?
Though I’m not a Gator by education, I’ve found myself chomping pretty intensely at sporting events.

Favorite thing to do in Gainesville?
Blueberry season is around the corner! There are some quaint spots in Gainesville and in the surrounding towns to spend an afternoon filling up a bucked (and your tummy) with fresh berries.
