The Price of Poverty: Impacts on Women and Children

On Feb. 3 at 6 p.m. in the Pugh Hall Ocora, Dr. Nancy Hardt will present a talk focused on poverty and its correlation to health, crime and domestic violence. She will also discuss the importance of working collaboratively to collect, examine, and share available data in order to make informed decisions concerning prevention and intervention efforts for children and families. Dr. Hardt serves as the director of Health Disparities and Service Learning Programs at UF. She has dedicated decades to teaching hundreds of patients, medical students, political leaders and the community about the causes of health care disparities for children and families.
