David Lawrence and Vance Aloupis will discuss the history and progress of the Children’s Movement of Florida on Feb. 23 at 6 p.m. in the Pugh Hall Ocora. The Bob Graham Center’s 2014 Citizen of the Year and Young Floridian award recipients will address the importance of improving Florida’s VPK program, implementing skill building programs for parents, securing health insurance for all children, establishing high-quality mentoring programs and early screening for children with special needs. The Children’s Movement is a non-partisan grassroots organization which advocates for the investment in Florida’s children during the first five years of life. Click here for more information.
