Gator Connections: New Location for This Friday’s Event

June 19, 2013 8:11 pm

In coordination with the UF Faculty Senate and UF Human Resource Services, we are excited to announce the formation of Gator Connections. This idea developed from the understanding that, while Gainesville is an amazing place, complicated schedules and the overwhelming number of students can make it difficult to meet people and form relationships that enhance our personal life.

To that end, we have created Gator Connections for faculty and professional staff who are interested in meeting like-minded people and building relationships. Gator Connections will feature events such as monthly happy hours, bowling, cooking classes with a master chef, outdoor adventures and a variety of other fun activities. This will be a great way to meet new people and hopefully find that connection you may be looking for.

Our next event will be at the Hilton Hotel and Conference Center from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, June 21. We are looking forward to capitalizing on the success of our first event (70-plus people) with this no host bar event, so make plans to attend and get ready to start forming connections!

In addition, an official UF Gator Connections Facebook group and listserv have been created to spread the word. Contact us directly if you would like to be added to these lists to stay informed of future events.  We hope to see you there and have an amazing day!
