Approval of Minutes from October 2006 Meeting—Approved
Program: Dedee DeLongpre, Director, Office of Sustainability
Ms. DeLongpre spoke about sustainability in general and specifically how it is applied at UF. Sustainability is broader than environmental efforts and UF is actively participating in a number of projects to improve our sustainability. Ms. DeLongpre helps connect folks interested in sustainability related issues so that groups can form to effectively work on solutions or improvements to those issues. The sustainability conference at UF in October was very well attended, 150 spaces were planned and 450 people attended.
APA President's Report—No report from the APA President.
APA Task Force Reports—Committee Chairs—The HR Committee and Community Service committees gave brief remarks.
HR Taskforce is working on issues related to flexible work schedules, employee education program (include all fees) and Gator Jobs and training (see www.training.ufl.edu for a full listing of opportunities). HR taskforce will be soliciting success stories for flexible schedules to use as reference information at UF. APA will consider offering Seminar series again if interest is sufficient in early 2007.
Social committee noted opportunity for volunteers at the Volleyball regional tournament on December 8 and 9. APA members can also assist with purchase of tickets for childrens groups through the University Athletic Association’s gift program.

New Business—The APA group discussed the possibility of offering more tours of Library West. The second Lunch and Learn will be offered on December 13, 2006 with Allan Preston regarding Fleet Management at UF in the Reitz Union. Email allanp@ufl.edu .
