APA Assists With Staff Climate Survey

University of Florida President Bernie Machen expressed his willingness to conduct a climate survey for all staff similar to one done in spring 2004 for faculty at this year's initial meeting of the Academic & Professional Assembly on September 15. Machen asked APA to form a Task Force to lay the groundwork for the survey and to appoint one committee member to serve as a liaison between APA and the Office of the President.

The APA Staff Climate Survey (SCS) Task Force and Liaison are:

Dawn Lopresto
Business Manager, College of Health & Human Performance
Liaison to the Office of the President
lopresto@hhp.ufl.edu

Allan Preston
Risk Management Coordinator, Physical Plant Division
Chair of the SCS Committee

Lindy Brounley
Communications Director, College of Dentistry

Marijka Willis

Diane Craig
Communications Director, Bridges

Kim Czaplewski
Assistant Director, Human Resources

Ronnie Lovler
Director, New & Public Affairs

Cheri Brodeur

The SCS Task Force has met to develop issues and ideas for the staff survey. It has also met with Dr. Angel Kwolek-Folland who chaired Senate's Task Force on Quality of Life Issues for Faculty and was the liaison for the last spring's Faculty Climate Survey. She provided helpful information on the survey development process.
